About

I am a studio-based full-time artist living on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. I started painting in 1998, inspired by an exhibition of Emily Kngwarreye's work.

My current practice is consistent with an ongoing exploration into the use of a variety of found and discarded objects to create artworks with lines, rhythms and stories. I manipulate a variety of materials - wire and rusty metal objects, wooden boxes from Europe, rulers and other measuring devices, bamboo and found objects that appeal to me. I utilise the evidence left by past usage and handling to give these materials a new life and bring them into another realm, another public and a different exploration of concepts.
