freestyle tout 2002
This was my first solo exhibition and it followed on from some group shows. The large painting Space was the impetus for many other similar works where the paint was blown and/or painted onto the surface. The Mt Coot-tha painting was very popular and I did several variations over time. I used to live in a house near the foothills of Mt Coot-tha and so it was a constant inspiration. The cockatoos frequently used to wheel and squawk above the highway on the way to the city.
